Description

As a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in sales, business development, luxury hospitality, or market management, you will lead our team of experts in developing the Airbnb Luxe offer in North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Your primary responsibility will be to define the strategy, manage the team, and drive results to ensure Airbnb Luxe continues to expand its portfolio of exceptional homes while maintaining the high quality standards characteristic of this category.

This role combines leadership, commercial strategy, and luxury market expertise. You will guide a team of market managers throughout the lifecycle of the offer: from prospecting and acquisition to managing host accounts and optimizing the property portfolio, while acting as the primary regional spokesperson for Airbnb Luxe internally and externally. You will be equally comfortable developing a regional growth strategy as accompanying a team member through a complex negotiation with a host, and you won't hesitate to roll up your sleeves to tackle challenges related to activities in a vast, diverse, and rapidly evolving region.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of market managers in North America and Latin America by setting clear expectations and creating a culture of excellence, responsibility, and continuous growth.
  • Be the trusted leader of your team by providing commercial guidance, clear instructions, and practical support for complex relationships with hosts, market launches, and hierarchical recourse.
  • Identify and develop emerging talent by preparing team members to take on more significant tasks and assume greater responsibilities.
  • Create and maintain a positive, motivating, and inclusive team culture based on collaboration and high performance.

Regional Strategy and Offer Growth

  • Oversee the end-to-end offer strategy for North America and Latin America by defining priorities for acquisition, host quality, and property portfolio optimization.
  • Guide territorial strategies by leading teams to adapt their approach based on market maturity, host segmentation, and competitive context.
  • Design and deploy large-scale acquisition programs to integrate new exceptional properties into the Airbnb Luxe portfolio, including direct approaches, partnerships with luxury real estate agencies, and relationships with property managers.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion and offer development across the region, whether in well-known luxury destinations in the United States or emerging markets in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Host Relationships and Quality Standards

  • Promote the Airbnb Luxe brand and quality standards across the region by ensuring each property in the portfolio offers an experience that meets the expectations of Airbnb's most discerning travelers.
  • Support your team in building and maintaining relationships with high-end hosts, property managers, and luxury real estate companies.
  • Act as the primary hierarchical recourse for complex relationships with hosts and interfunctional issues, ensuring problems are resolved without compromising host trust or property portfolio quality.

Performance and Interfunctional Collaboration

  • Manage regional performance by ensuring markets meet key performance indicators for offer, revenue, and quality.
  • Collaborate with Airbnb Luxe leaders, customer support, content and quality, marketing, revenue teams, policy, and products to launch initiatives that enhance host performance and accelerate offer growth.
  • Share market analysis and host feedback with internal stakeholders to influence product and policy decisions.
  • Share proven manuals and strategies with the global Airbnb Luxe team to stimulate broader growth.

Requirements

  • More than 10 years of experience in sales, business development, luxury hospitality, or market management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role managing and developing teams on the ground.
  • In-depth knowledge of the luxury travel and real estate sector in North America and/or Latin America, with demonstrated ability to drive local growth on diverse and complex markets.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding acquisition and revenue targets through a team in a dynamic environment with key performance indicators.
  • Experience establishing and managing high-value-added partnerships with luxury real estate professionals, property managers, or property owners.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management tools and performance dashboards, with the ability to maintain a rigorous process and data-driven decision-making within your team.
