Description
Why we are here
Tony's Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand.
As our Sales Manager Belux, you are the end-to-end owner of Tony’s business in Belgium and Luxembourg. You act as an entrepreneurial market lead and Tony’s ambassador, shaping and executing the commercial strategy while building momentum and accelerating sustainable growth in this next phase. You combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution and a strong sense of energy, translating market insights into action, visibility, and new opportunities.
Responsibilities
Own and drive the Belux commercial strategy: translate market, shopper, and customer insights into a clear channel and growth plan, while spotting opportunities and building momentum in the market
Build and strengthen senior relationships: develop long-term partnerships with key retailers and actively grow your network to increase distribution, visibility, and impact
Lead complex negotiations: drive pricing, assortment, and trade term discussions with a focus on win-win outcomes and sustainable growth
Own the full sales process: ensure excellence across forecasting, budgeting, promotional planning, and execution
Drive financial performance: take ownership of revenue growth, contribution margin, and P&L decisions, using data to guide actions
Lead and develop the Belux setup: manage one direct report in the role of Account Manager OOH Belux and coordinate the field sales team to deliver strong, consistent in-store execution
Collaborate cross-functionally: partner closely with marketing, finance, and operations to deliver integrated plans and continuously improve performance
Act as the Belux business owner: balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution in a fast-growing, build-up environment
Requirements
7+ years of experience in commercial leadership roles, ideally in FMCG or food
Proven ability to own and grow a business or market, with strong commercial and financial accountability
Strong entrepreneurial mindset: you take ownership like it’s your own business, move things forward, and roll up your sleeves when needed
Demonstrated experience in leading negotiations with major retailers such as buyers, category managers, and procurement teams
Solid experience in P&L management, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making
Track record of building relationships and influencing stakeholders, internally and externally, and a natural drive to connect, show up, and represent your brand
Experience in leading and developing people or teams, directly or indirectly
Comfortable with working independently
Fluency in Flemish/Dutch, French, and English is essential, and you live in Belgium or have strong roots in the market
Flexibility in work location: hybrid setup with travel to customers, our factory and workspace in Antwerp, and the Amsterdam HQ
