We are seeking an experienced Industrial Sales Engineer to join our team in Harvey, IL. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth by achieving sales targets within the Illinois and Eastern Iowa regions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing territory sales strategies to penetrate the metalworking and industrial lubricant markets and exceed growth targets.
- Prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business through referrals, targeted outreach, and frequent planned sales calls, building a robust and sustainable sales pipeline.
- Expanding wallet share within accounts while prioritizing growth of new customers.
- Promoting the FUCHS value proposition by identifying customer challenges, leading product trials, delivering technical solutions, and winning conversions from competitors.
- Maintaining market and competitive intelligence while leveraging Salesforce CRM to manage opportunities, forecast results, and advance deals from prospect to close.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion to win and to exceed sales goals and targets. Additionally, we will be looking for the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business.
- At least 3 years of B2B sales experience in industrial consumable products. Experience in the Lubricants or Chemicals industries is required, with a focus on machining and metalworking fluids, which is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and a customer-focused attitude are essential.
- Self-motivated and driven for personal and company success.
FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $125,000 per year, as well as an unlimited commission structure. Actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
