We are seeking a highly skilled legal professional to join our team in Taipei. As a Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements for customers across the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring compliance with local laws and Synopsys standards.
Your responsibilities will also include providing comprehensive contract support to Synopsys affiliates in Asia-Pacific and other regions, facilitating smooth business operations. You will offer regional legal counsel on a wide range of matters, including corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and government relations.
As a trusted advisor, you will guide internal business managers through problem-solving processes, interpreting legal requirements, and adapting department policies to evolving legal, business, and technology landscapes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex legal issues, analyze alternative solutions, and implement effective recommendations.
In this role, you will strengthen Synopsys' position in the Asia-Pacific market through expert legal guidance and robust contract management. You will mitigate legal risks by ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, supporting sustainable business growth. You will enhance operational efficiency by streamlining contract processes and delivering timely, actionable legal advice.
To succeed in this role, you will need 5-7 years of legal experience, preferably in the EDA or semiconductor industry. You will hold an LLB in Taiwan or JD in the US, with a valid license to practice law in either jurisdiction. You will have demonstrated expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements (licensing, procurement, marketing) in English.
You will be an exceptional communicator, both verbally and in writing, with superb interpersonal and negotiation skills. You will be adaptable and resourceful, able to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. You will be detail-oriented and proactive, anticipating potential issues and providing strategic guidance.
