Description
We're looking for a Manager, Commercial Counsel, GTM to lead our legal team in shaping cutting-edge AI technology. You'll work with experienced colleagues to support deals, handle enterprise agreements, and grow the commercial legal team.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, focusing on GTM/Sales agreements with enterprise technology customers and startups.
- Partner with Sales and Go-to-Market leadership to support deal velocity and provide practical legal guidance.
- Build and maintain commercial legal infrastructure, including contract templates and playbooks.
- Manage a team supporting enterprise technology and startups segments.
- Identify and escalate legal risks while supporting business momentum.
- Stay current on legal developments affecting AI technologies.
Minimum qualifications
- JD and active membership in a U.S. state bar.
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, or technology transactions.
- Demonstrated people management experience.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
- 8+ years of legal experience in commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, or technology transactions.
- Active membership in the California state bar.
- Experience leading legal teams through high-growth phases at technology companies.
- Curiosity about AI technology and AI policy, with a commitment to responsible AI development.
Logistics
- Annual salary: $320,000-$385,000 USD.
- Location-based hybrid policy: Work from our San Francisco office at least 3 days a week.
