Description
As a Federal Materials Associate, you will join our Supply Chain team at the Costa Mesa, CA location. The Supply Chain team has a valuable impact for Anduril's business and mission, responsible for supporting our production and business growth through the material management and inventory flow. The right person for this role can demonstrate strong ownership, excellent organisational skills, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to solve operational challenges with creative solutions in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment. This person will be flexible to provide support wherever needed to ensure products are shipped and received under stringent quality standards.
You will process shipping and receiving at the Costa Mesa and/or Santa Ana locations as needed. You will compile records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock inventory, and/or in production. You will prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, labelling, loading, and securing product.
You will expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. You will complete cycle counts and conduct all warehouse activities with inventory accuracy as a top priority. You will maintain inventory by identifying, labelling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signal machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks and loading docks. You will organise material into an efficient picking methodology for picking/kitting. You will monitor KPIs set by Management.
You will adhere to regulations related to government property and inventory management (FAR/DFARS). You will initiate opportunities for improvements. You will courier inventory as needed between Anduril's sites in Costa Mesa & Santa Ana.
Required qualifications include 5+ years as a warehouse associate or equivalent experience, previous experience with management of government property & inventory management per FAR & DFARS, and a valid driver's licence.
Preferred qualifications include 3+ years forklift experience and licence, experience working in the defence/aerospace industry, and familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and/or other warehouse management and inventory control tooling.
