We are looking for a Legal Operations Associate / Paralegal to join our rapidly growing team in Orange County, California or Washington DC. In this role, you will provide extensive paralegal, operational, and administrative support in a fast-paced environment to our multi-disciplinary team.
Your responsibilities will include triaging and providing frontline support for requests from the Company to the legal department, preparing and maintaining records and documentation, drafting, reviewing and redlining contracts, and being a partner to the lawyers on the team with respect to data requests, research, organizational filing and general project management.
You will also coordinate electronic signatures and manage our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool and contract records, lead legal tech implementations, oversee and evaluate opportunities to improve processes and increase scalability, identify risks and mitigations, assist in the strategy development for new legal needs, and collaborate directly with other departments in the company to streamline their legal needs and provide them with tools so they can help themselves with repeatable legal requests.
You will oversee and champion various significant, material projects which will have significant impact on the company’s business, working with amorphous direction and tasking, and develop lightweight workflows to keep the company organized and efficient.
Required qualifications include at least 4 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate, strong written and verbal communications skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy, proficiency in productivity & management tools such as AirTable, Slack, DocuSign, Jira, Salesforce, Oracle ERP, and/or Foundry, and the ability to build strong relationships within the team and cross-functionally.
Preferred qualifications include interested in national security and changing the landscape of defense contracting, at least 2 years’ experience with startup, defense, and/or in-house at a high-growth company, and at least 2 years’ experience at a nationally recognized law firm.
The salary range for this role is $113,000-$135,000 USD, and highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers.
