Senior Loan Originator

At Honda, we're looking for a Senior Loan Originator to assist credit union members through the full real estate loan process. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving sales goals, obtaining LP/DU feedback, and managing the loan process to ensure timely closings and high levels of member service.

Responsibilities:

• Assist credit union members through the full real estate loan process, from initial assessment of financial needs through loan closing.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations while maintaining strong communication with members and third-party partners.
• Achieve sales goals by following up on pre-approvals, assisting members with loan applications, and providing product recommendations and disclosures.
• Obtain LP/DU feedback, collect and review supporting documentation, and explain requirements to members.
• Initiate outbound sales calls, visit branches, participate in homebuyer seminars, and build relationships with realtors and title companies.
• Lock rates and manage the loan process to ensure timelines are met and a high level of member service is delivered.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet or have met NMLS requirements.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience or relevant training.
• Working knowledge of state and federal lending regulations.
• Completion of internal specialized training.
