Description

We are seeking a Mid/Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our team in Bordeaux. As a key member of our project, you will be responsible for contributing directly to a legendary game license with high-quality standards (+90 Metacritic) and over 10 million active players.

You will have a central role in the project and will have the opportunity to tackle numerous technical challenges and learn a great deal. Your team will be under the responsibility of the Lead Gameplay Programmer, and you will be surrounded by 10 other Gameplay Programmers, as well as interacting with other departments (production management, GD, UI, artists, sound designers, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for one or several features of gameplay, from design to tuning and debugging.
  • Take charge of various technical subjects.
  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain gameplay elements.
  • Contribute to the quality of the experience by providing constructive and informed feedback.
  • Participate in the robustness and cleanliness of the code.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a game development studio.
  • In-depth knowledge of C++.
  • Solid skills in mathematics (linear algebra and trigonometry).
  • Awareness of performance and memory issues in game development.
  • Good communication skills to interact with a diverse team (designers, producers, etc.).
  • Operational mastery of French and English (reading, writing, speaking).

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of versioning tools (Perforce, Git).
  • Knowledge of physics.
