Description
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Manage complicated, cross-platform production issues involving OS, Networking and Databases and on externally hosted platforms.
- Develop and manage robust CI/CD pipelines that implement DevSecOps principles as code.
- Agreed and develop SLOs/SLIs across engineering teams and with our Product Owners.
- Engage in new features and builds at inception to ensure and contribute to the overall quality of delivery.
- Form part of the wider banks’ community of SREs to share technology, run trials on new tools and to share success with wider teams.
- Build Application & Infrastructure performance tools while taking steps to improve overall stability of Production.
- Develop and enhance our existing Observability tooling stack.
Requirements:
- Previous SRE experience.
- Solid track record delivering agile projects at scale in a Fintechs or IBs.
- Ability to drive large scale organisational change in complex technical environment.
- Experience building and configuring monitoring/alerting (AppDynamics, Geneos, Datadog, Splunk, Datadog, AWS Cloudwatch).
- Demonstrable experience of working closely with Product Owners preferably in the Equites, FX and Structured Products space.
- 2+ years of software engineering experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript.
- Experience developing enterprise technology in the Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, ACS).
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English.
