Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA)

Join Amazon's Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team as a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA). You'll learn to combine electronic, mechanical, computer, and automation engineering skills to maintain process efficiency. Responsibilities include:

• Performing preventative/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment
• Conducting maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment components
• Maintaining and troubleshooting motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc.
• Moving up to 49lbs, standing and walking during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climbing ladders and gangways safely, and performing regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching

You'll be paired with journey workers, complete work based on technical documents and instructions, and carry out tasks in compliance with safety regulations. Effective communication, teamwork, and self-motivation are essential.

Program Requirements:

• Flexible to relocate after program completion
• Ability to enroll in and attend a 9-week training at one of four designated training providers
• Meeting the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 1+ years of PC software experience, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Vocational/technical training or an associate degree or above, or 1+ years of Amazon RME experience
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items
• Knowledge of mathematics
• Experience with measurement reading and interpretation
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays
