We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.
As a Consultant Specialist, you will provide IT project delivery, assist project managers on project planning, stakeholder communication, development, testing, release, and so on. You will lead or assist teammates to provide business and technical solutions that fit business needs. You will be accountable for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey.
You will liaise with other teams, including architects, business stakeholders, and so on, to understand and drive the product or service's direction. You will conduct end-to-end system tests, user acceptance tests, and provide support on system implementation. You will ensure a high-quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years rich hands-on experience in development
- Experience of delivering high-quality and complex system solutions
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Proven hands-on experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud
- Familiar with Linux and Shell script, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices for back-end testing
- Solid experience in CI/CD tools, such as GitHub, Maven, Groovy, Nexus, Jenkins
- Knowledge and experience with Distributed systems, Micro-service architecture, and APIs
- Knowledge and experience with relational database
- Knowledge of DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and toolings, etc)
- Able to work in Agile working model
- Strong passion for technology and engineering
