Description

The Quality Engineering Inspector is responsible for monitoring and ensuring conformance with production processes to ensure Quality Standards are met. This role plays a vital part in the manufacturing of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. As a Quality Engineering Inspector, you'll ensure every aircraft and its subcomponents meet the highest standards of precision and reliability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring assembly documentation is accurate and complete
  • Observing assembly, lay-up, and torque operations
  • Conducting dimensional inspections on both parts and assemblies
  • Examining raw materials, piece-parts, and final assemblies
  • Interpreting specifications, drawings, tolerances, and additional requirements
  • Documenting inspection and test results through logs, graphs, reports, and local systems
  • Executing other tasks related to the position as directed by leadership

Required qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a Quality Inspector role within aerospace manufacturing or a related industry
  • Practical experience with various inspection techniques and equipment (DMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Capable of performing inspections using assembly instructions and engineering drawings
  • Demonstrated ability to use precision measurement tools and calibrated equipment effectively
  • Strong technical and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, across various levels within the organization
  • Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of quality-centric practices and processes

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field
  • Certification from a recognized quality institution like ASQ (American Society for Quality) is advantageous
  • Certification in AS9100 or similar quality management standards in aerospace is a plus
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency in reading, understanding, and interpreting technical documents, blueprints, and engineering drawings
