The Analytics Engineering team provides all parts of Fin's business with the right set of accurate and up-to-date data tables that form the basis of all of its most important operational and strategic data-driven decisions. The team uses their deep knowledge of how GTM and Product teams work to anticipate their data needs. They use their deep technical expertise to design the right data models and reliably turn these models into high-quality core data assets in the data warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the data infrastructure engineering team to understand and help evolve and maintain the data warehouse and the ELT that feeds it.
- Build a best-in-class data platform to drive critical business decisions.
- Partner with all internal analyst teams to understand the questions they are trying to answer and help them arrive at the right answers.
- Simplify and improve data collection and reporting processes to automate manual workflows and eliminate manual dependencies.
- Reconcile data issues and alerts between various systems, finding opportunities to innovate and drive improvements.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience working as an Analytics Engineer.
- Write advanced SQL with a preference for well-architected data models, optimized query performance, and clearly documented code.
- Familiarity with the modern data stack; dbt and Snowflake experience are a big plus.
- A growth mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Great judgment and sharp business and product instincts.
- Excellent communication skills, tailoring explanations of technical concepts to various audiences.
Nice to haves:
- Exposure to Apache Airflow or other DAG frameworks.
- Experience with Tableau, Looker, or similar visualization/business intelligence platforms.
- Familiarity with operational tools and business systems such as Google Analytics, Marketo, Salesforce, Segment, or Zuora.
- Knowledge of Python.
