Description
Astranis is seeking a Harness Design Engineer Intern to work on designing flight and test harnessing for its spacecraft. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on hard problems and contribute to the development of spacecraft systems and subsystems.
Responsibilities: Create wiring diagrams, block diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings of spacecraft harnessing Work with cross-functional teams to define interfaces between different subsystems Use CAD programs to route harnessing in 3D Utilize EE fundamentals to select appropriate design components based on various requirements like voltage, power, frequency, and data-rate Work with production to fabricate in-house cables
Requirements: Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in mechatronics or electrical engineering (or equivalent technical degree) Interest in learning about, designing, and working with various spacecraft systems and subsystems Familiar with power and data transmission concepts
Bonus: Experience with Zuken (or other harness design software) Experience with various connectors and wire types including MIL circular and D-Sub/microD Experience with 3D CAD software like Solidworks
