Description
We are growing the Avionics Engineering team to support development of the X-BAT aircraft. Our team is designing a flight critical, custom avionics system to support communications, compute, AI, power, telemetry, and all other needed aircraft systems.
An Avionics Technician/Specialist supports the entire Avionics team and other cross-functional teams. It is an essential role spanning design, verification, procurement, manufacturing, and test. You will work specifically with the Electrical Engineering team as they design and verify all X-BAT electrical systems and circuit boards.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Avionics team in the design, verification, procurement, manufacturing, and test of the X-BAT aircraft's avionics system
- Collaborate with the Electrical Engineering team to design and verify electrical systems and circuit boards
- Perform benchtop testing with basic EE equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, electronic load, thermal chamber, etc.)
- Design basic test fixtures and wire harnesses
- Rework circuit boards down to at least 0402 parts
- Interpret and read schematics
- Participate in multidisciplinary hardware development projects
Qualifications:
- 3+ years working in an electrical engineering lab or equivalent
- Experience performing benchtop testing with basic EE equipment
- Ability to design basic test fixtures and wire harnesses
- Proficiency reading and interpreting schematics
- Experience working on multidisciplinary hardware development projects
- Demonstrated history of showing ownership of project outcomes and delivering exceptional results
- Record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
$36 - $54 an hour
