Job Summary
As an Applications Engineer on our QuantumATK team, you will provide high-quality scientific and technical support to customers using QuantumATK, a leading software platform for atomic-scale materials modeling and simulation. You will partner with internal stakeholders and customers in high-tech industries to understand use cases, troubleshoot issues, and drive successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality scientific and technical support to customers using QuantumATK
- Partner with internal stakeholders and customers in high-tech industries (semiconductors, automotive, energy, etc.) to understand use cases, troubleshoot issues, and drive successful outcomes
- Develop and maintain application examples, workflows, and best-practice guides
- Collaborate with R&D and product teams by bringing customer needs and feedback into roadmap and feature discussions
- Contribute to enablement activities such as webinars and training
Requirements
- Solid foundation in solid-state physics and/or chemistry: A degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or a related field
- Strong background in atomic-scale materials modeling and simulation
- Practical Python skills for scripting, analysis, and workflow automation
- Proficiency communicating complex technical topics in English (written and verbal)
Nice to Have
- Experience working directly with industrial customers in a technical role (support, field, pre-sales, or similar)
- Track record of building reusable examples, tutorials, or scientific software workflows
