Senior Principal Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to develop state-of-the-art AI hardware products? Shield AI is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership for the V-BAT aircraft's RF systems.

As a Senior Principal Engineer, you will collaborate closely with various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and software engineering. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical leadership to the RF team focusing on the V-BAT product line
• Quantifying and optimizing RF link performance, resolving defense/interference problems
• Defining system level and unit level design requirements and features for all RF systems
• Improving design, test, and compliance processes for the engineering org. as it related to RF
• Defining test procedures, requirements, and training operators/technicians to execute accordingly
• Helping grow the team, providing hiring input, and mentoring teammates

The ideal candidate will have:

• An active U.S. Secret security clearance; Top Secret clearance strongly preferred
• A B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with RF systems
• Experience working on cross-functional teams involving EE, ME, SW, manufacturing, production, etc.
• Experience with technical mentorship/guidance of other engineers
• Experience leading design work on the unit level and system level
• Experience with quantifying and improving RF sensitivity performance

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of antenna design and aircraft level radiation performance analysis and simulation, utilizing tools such as CST & ANSYS.

The salary for this position is $242,000 - $320,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity.
