Description

An AI Lead in the telecommunications industry is responsible for driving the strategic direction of AI-based projects, managing the AI team, overseeing research and development initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of scalable AI solutions aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the AI research and development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • AI Strategy Development: Develop and implement AI strategies that support business objectives and drive innovation in telecommunications.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI models and algorithms tailored to telecommunications applications.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into telecommunications products and services.
  • Trend Monitoring: Monitor and analyze AI trends specific to the telecommunications industry to ensure the company remains at the forefront of technology.
  • Scalability and Efficiency: Ensure scalability and efficiency in AI model deployment to handle large-scale telecommunications data.
  • Mentorship: Mentor team members and foster a collaborative working environment.
  • Data Privacy and Security: Ensure data privacy and implement measures to secure sensitive telecommunications information

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing AI projects and leading technical teams, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of AI, machine learning, deep learning techniques, and data science concepts.
  • Leadership experience: At least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role, guiding teams and projects.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership skills and stakeholder management. Good communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Proactive and results-oriented.
