At Databricks, we are seeking a Sr. Corporate Development Associate to join our Corporate Development & Ventures team. As a critical member of the team, you will help drive end-to-end transactions from sourcing through evaluation and execution. You will partner with Executive leadership, Product, Engineering, and Partnerships teams to identify and qualify high-impact M&A and Databricks Ventures opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include conducting strategic evaluations of M&A and investment opportunities, communicating findings in business case memos and executive presentations, and building and maintaining a comprehensive view of competitive and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
You will also lead cross-functional due diligence processes, work closely with Databricks' cross-functional deal team during the entire transaction lifecycle, and collaborate with our M&A Integration team to drive post-close integration planning.
As a Sr. Corporate Development Associate, you will build relationships with investors, investment bankers, founders, and other stakeholders in our ecosystem, run thesis-led outreach to originate opportunities and gather market intel, and design and implement processes, templates, and tooling to enhance team efficiency and execution.
We look for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM fields, and 4+ years of work experience in product management, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate development, or venture capital. You should have strong communication and writing abilities paired with rigorous qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, strong judgment, ownership, and cross-functional leadership.
