Description

We're looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our team at our Millville site. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and verifying daily compliance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and performing daily pre-operational and operational plant inspections.

Your responsibilities will include: Monitoring and verifying daily compliance of SOPs Performing daily pre-operational and operational plant inspections Continuously monitoring that the site follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Regularly ensuring compliance of all raw materials, packaging materials, products in process, and finished products to specifications Performing laboratory tests such as APC, Mold and yeast for finished product Performing in-process quality control lab testing Creating Certificate of Analysis for product release Maintaining logs and other records including inventory lab chemicals Complying with GMPs, PPE, sanitation procedures, general housekeeping and food safety and food defense practices and procedures Entering test results on lab data system and generating reports Resolving supplier quality issues with raw materials Maintaining working knowledge of all instruments used for routine and non-routine sample testing and troubleshooting Conducting timely root cause analysis and enforcing improvements to process controls Assisting in the start of processing operations in conjunction with production department Performing ATP, environmental and allergen swabbing to support plant operations Communicating raw material and product quality issues to management Performing other duties as assigned

To be successful in this role, you will need: Must be 18 years or older with the ability to read, write and speak English specific to work instructions including but not limited to safety purposes High school, GED, or equivalent diploma required 2-4 years schooling in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields preferred 2+ years of lab testing experience Ability to work with minimal supervision Strong mathematics skills Excellent attention to detail Superior communication skills Excellent organization skills, and abilities to make decisions on quality issues Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force at times and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body Ability to work in cold and hot environments (approximately 38F-80F degrees) Ability to be mobile in accomplishing tasks and or moving from one worksite (up to 1-mile range) to another
