Description

Anduril's Manufacturing team is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the Composites branch in North Carolina.

The successful candidate will be responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge composite parts and assemblies in both prototype and production environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with technicians and engineers to design production lines for manufacturing composite parts and assemblies
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to drive continuous improvements on the production line
  • Creating and executing manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions, MBOMs, and quality plans
  • Acting as a liaison between engineering technical data packages and technicians to ensure accurate manufacturing of composite hardware and tooling
  • Solving manufacturing problems in a schedule-driven environment while meeting quality specifications
  • Developing novel manufacturing processes to reduce risk during product transitions
  • Informing critical decision points with Program Managers to ensure on-time delivery
  • Driving RCCAs with the quality team to eliminate production blockers and recurring issues

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in an engineering or technology-related field
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Experience in a production environment with process improvements and team leadership
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, preferably NX
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with examples
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or energetics facilities
  • Familiarity with AS9100/NADCAP accredited manufacturing facilities
  • Proficiency in TeamCenter for digital manufacturing processes
  • Experience leading teams of engineers interfacing with different IPTs
  • Knowledge of bonded and/or fastened assemblies of composite, metallic, and plastic components

The salary range for this role is $113,000-$149,000 USD per year.
