Description
Are you looking for a role where you can shape the future of testing and validation in the automotive industry? As an SDV Architect for Test & vECU, you will play a leading role in the development of modern test strategies and test environments. You will combine technical depth with strategic thinking and clear, compelling communication.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive shift-left test strategy for SDV systems based on vECU virtualisation, including business case evaluation, tool comparison, scalability, and cost models
- Designing, building, and further developing cloud-based test environments for embedded and software-defined vehicle systems
- Providing strategic advice to OEMs, Tier-1s, and technology partners on cloud, hybrid, and hardware test approaches throughout the entire development cycle
- Evaluating, selecting, and integrating leading vECU solutions into existing toolchains and CI/CD pipelines
- Active stakeholder management, including customer contact, pre-sales support, and presenting strategic recommendations at the management level
- Introducing and scaling AI-driven methods in quality assurance, such as intelligent test prioritisation, anomaly detection, or data-driven optimisation of test strategies
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, combined with over 5 years of experience in test automation of embedded or SDV systems (e.g. ADAS, infotainment, or zone architectures)
- Practical experience with vECU approaches from at least two projects, including setting up cloud-based test environments and integration into CI/CD pipelines
- Passion for modern software-defined vehicle architectures, innovative test methods, and the use of AI in quality assurance, such as intelligent test case generation, fault classification, or anomaly detection
- Expertise in cloud and virtualisation technologies, particularly container and VM-based test infrastructures, as well as hybrid cloud/HIL scenarios
- Strong understanding of the market and technology landscape in the areas of vECU, SDV, and automotive testing, combined with experience with common toolchains
As an ideal candidate, you will be characterised by a structured and analytical approach, the ability to clearly present complex and unclear problem statements, and derive decision options for management and technology. You will also possess strong communication and advisory skills, as well as a leadership mindset with technical expertise, clarity, and initiative.
