Software Engineer

We're looking for a talented software engineer to join our team at Valve Corporation. As a software engineer, you will work on a range of projects, from game development to internal tools and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experts across a range of disciplines to design and develop software solutions
• Write high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code in a variety of programming languages
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase
• Work with our QA team to identify and fix bugs
• Develop and maintain internal tools and infrastructure
• Participate in the development of new features and technologies
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in C++, Java, or Python
• Experience with game development or related technologies
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence
• Familiarity with cloud-based services such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with containerization using Docker
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
