Description
We are looking for a dynamic Sr. Manager, Field Engineering to lead a team of Solution Architects within our Retail vertical. As a key member of our Field Engineering team, you will be responsible for helping customers in the Consumer Goods segment succeed with Databricks and providing outsized value to their businesses. You will also be responsible for maintaining a robust hiring pipeline, establishing relationships across the business, and partnering with sales leadership to hit sales and consumption targets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hiring, training, growing, and managing a team of Solutions Architects
- Making customers in the Consumer Goods segment successful with Databricks and providing outsized value to their businesses
- Maintaining a robust hiring pipeline at all times
- Establishing relationships across the business to make customers and team successful
- Partnering with sales leadership to hit sales and consumption targets
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of professional experience in the data space with a technical product, 3+ years of experience in the field, architecting and delivering data-driven solutions for major accounts within the Retail, Consumer Products, Travel & Hospitality vertical, and a deep familiarity with the buy-side and supply-side ecosystem.
In addition, the candidate should have demonstrated expertise with data collaboration ecosystem, 3+ years of experience building and leading technical pre-sales teams, a deep technical understanding of the impact that Data + AI can drive within the Retail industry, and trusted advisor to technical executives who guide strategic data infrastructure decisions.
