FUCHS offers a challenging and rewarding working environment where employees are encouraged to develop and grow. As a Process Engineer, you will lead projects to improve the manufacturing efficiency of our specialty lubricants/compounds.
Responsibilities include: Overseeing major projects within the Engineering department. Evaluating manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication and materials as well as soliciting observations from technicians. Developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements while researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods. Improving manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Assuring product and process quality by designing and evaluating testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities. Providing manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor and material costs and estimating future requirements. Reviewing and evaluating new process procedures and documentation. Aiding in the qualification of new equipment and procedures. Preparing product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Coordinating with the quality department to implement new products and procedures. Performing PFD’s (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&ID’s (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) for required equipment. Aiding in batch costing operations. Maintaining an efficient and safe working environment for all employees. Ensuring compliance to all state and federal regulations and design/implement effective preventative maintenance programs to reduce all downtime, including the auditing of safety systems. Preparing reports as needed to ensure compliance to all state and federal laws. Collaborating with various departments to maintain mechanical integrity of all plant programs. Analyzing all equipment requirements and assisting in requisition of all tools and equipment Resolving all maintenance issues and recommending improvements to same if required. Reviewing and recommending improvements to SOP procedures and perform troubleshoot on all plant activities and resolve all issues and operations manager to implement all changes. Providing an efficient interface with all automation and validation processes and provide training to all engineers and mechanics. Recommending and implementing capital projects designed to improve the reliability and productivity of the facility Providing an efficient interface with engineering department to evaluate all upcoming capital projects and analyze all new and existing equipment and layouts. Coordinating and directing the activities of all 3rd party contractors performing work at the Huntington site
