As an experienced SAP Utilities Functional Consultant, you will work closely with clients to design and implement scalable, compliant, and future-ready solutions for the Meter-to-Cash process. This role requires deep expertise in SAP IS-U, market communication, billing, smart metering, and energy data management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting clients with SAP IS-U and S/4HANA Utilities, especially in billing, market communication, energy data management, and smart metering.
- Analysing business processes and designing optimized SAP solutions tailored to DSO operations.
- Leading integration and implementation of SAP modules across energy industry systems.
- Managing project teams through concept realization, rollout, and quality assurance.
- Taking ownership of project management tasks and contributing to IT strategy development.
- Collaborating with technical teams and contributing to solution architecture.
- Mentoring junior consultants and supporting hiring initiatives.
Required qualifications include:
- 10+ years of SAP IS-U experience in consulting or in-house roles.
- Deep expertise in at least one of the following areas: marktkommunikation, billing, smart metering/device management, or energy data management.
- Strong affinity for IT and experience with ABAP, debugging, and functional design.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex SAP projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred qualifications include experience with SAP S/4HANA Utilities implementation and migration, knowledge of SAP Cloud for Utilities and cloud-based SAP solutions, familiarity with German energy market regulations and DSO-specific processes, and SAP Certification in IS-U or S/4HANA Utilities.
