Description
We're seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join our Manufacturing team. As a key member of our Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering (VME) Final Assembly Engineering (FAE) Quality/PVT team, you'll be responsible for leading a team that drives current model quality improvements and warranty reductions in our assembly plants. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying, developing, and delivering solutions to address current model quality concerns and process/manufacturing related issues.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of engineers dispersed throughout our assembly plants
- Conducting data-driven and plant-floor analysis of current model quality concerns and/or process/manufacturing related issues
- Identifying, developing, and delivering ICAs, PCAs, and PRAs for current model quality concerns and/or process/manufacturing related issues
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Plant Engineering, Product Development, Vehicle Program Engineers, Quality Offices, STA, VME FAE Core, and Manufacturing Program Teams
- Engaging Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and groups/engineers within different teams for assistance in driving quality
- Utilizing data from VRT health charts to prioritize response actions that drive largest R/1000 reductions
- Reporting out to senior and executive leadership teams
- Representing VME FAE at VRT functions, supporting as required
In addition to your technical expertise, you'll need excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate your team.
