Description
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will make an active contribution to the further professionalization of our factory, development of our employees, and realization of structural savings. You will work result-oriented on improvement projects that contribute to cost reduction, efficiency, and sustainability. You will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager and be part of the Continuous Improvement team. This is a full-time role in day shift.
Your tasks will include:
- Conducting loss analyses on processes and performances and initiating improvements based on the main deviations,
- Initiating DMAIC improvement projects with a clear quantitative target and striving to achieve these results,
- Translating CI strategy and central initiatives into concrete improvement actions within the plant,
- Organizing and facilitating workshops and training sessions to apply CI methods in practice,
- Guiding improvement teams during the setup, execution, and anchoring of improvement projects,
- Identifying and prioritizing improvement opportunities based on impact, effort, and business case,
- Developing, implementing, and anchoring operational standards and working instructions,
- Monitoring progress of improvement initiatives and reporting on results and structural improvement opportunities,
- Conducting RCAs for operational and quality issues.
You bring:
- A minimum HBO work and thinking level;
- 5+ years of experience in a production environment, preferably in the food industry;
- Knowledge of CI methods, tools, and applications;
- Experience with organizing, facilitating, and stimulating continuous improvement within an organization and creating awareness among management and employees for the application of CI;
- You are curious about the technical content of the production process and enjoy deepening your knowledge;
- You are result-oriented, proactive, honest, and a team player;
- You are proactive and action-oriented and like to take initiative;
- You feel comfortable in an organization where processes and working methods are still in development and you take energy from bringing structure, professionalism, and improvement to it.
