The Cleveland Engine Plant is looking for a highly skilled, lean-driven Manager to lead our Industrial Engineering team. As an Industrial Engineering Manager, you will lead IEs and support production to develop productivity proposals, including rebalances, OLOT reduction, and throughput improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead ergonomics improvement and problem solving through IE actions
• Lead workstation set up and optimization
• Implement engineering changes that affect the workstation and allocations
• Supervise and coach IEs with time study schedules, such as MODAPTS
• Interface with union/works council and Health and Safety to settle job disputes and ergonomic issues
• Lead headcount cost savings projects
• Supervise monthly tracking of progress in WAVE and LRPT
• Lead cycle line layout process
• Supervise planning for mix and line speed changes
• Lead the Get Ready process
• Lead and manage departmental rolls analysis for weekly manpower meetings to ensure proper labor staffing and strategy
• Lead future model labor development, including design, cycle line layouts, and future model allocations
• Serve as a resource for plant IE training and assistance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
• 5 years' experience in supervision in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through root cause analysis and drive change back to the production departments
• Necessary skill set to have job placement flexibility and the expectation to rotate to various positions within the plant, such as Production or Quality
• Strong customer orientation with a commitment to upholding plant processes through strict adherence to the Quality Operating System
• Ability to execute to achieve results, while organizing and managing multiple priorities
• Proven willingness to take a participatory approach to union relations and be a team player
• Ability to serve as a strong and confident technical mentor to the production organization (both hourly and salary)
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
