Set a course for adventure with Princess Cruises! We are seeking a 1st Commis Chef to join our team on board our ships. As a 1st Commis Chef, you will assist the Sous Chef and Chef de Partie in producing and delivering the best culinary experience at sea.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production and delivery of high-quality meals
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Adhere to company recipes and daily production schedules
- Demonstrate an ongoing understanding of ingredient consumption required for daily production to minimize food waste
- Commit to safety, compliance with international regulations and Company standards, and uphold the company's values while maintaining professional relationships and promoting a harassment-free environment
Requirements:
- At least 1 to 2 years of prior work experience in a culinary environment as Commis Chef or similar roles
- Culinary related education (Preferred)
- Knowledge of basic food preparation, presentation, and preservation
- Basic knowledge of Public Health, Food Safety and Sanitation regulations and procedures
- Ability to organize and complete work by deadlines
- Good English language skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a large multinational environment
