Description

At Ford Motor Company, we are seeking an experienced MP&L Supervisor to join our team. As an MP&L Supervisor, you will be responsible for coaching Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work. You will also monitor andon occurrences, provide secondary support, and verify that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts through Process Confirmation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring andon occurrences and providing secondary support
  • Verifying that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts through Process Confirmation
  • Supporting Continuous Improvement and coaching problem resolution to the lowest level
  • Communicating and recognizing team members
  • Building Team Leader and Team Member capability
  • Creating a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks
  • Administering supervisory responsibilities and documents
  • Ensuring proper material flow from receiving dock to warehouse storage location to production line feed location to delivery of finished product to customers
  • Providing direction and support in the allocation of resources to cover material handling responsibilities
  • Supporting Ford Production System and synchronous material flow through lean manufacturing practices
  • Leading and managing unionized hourly personnel
  • Introducing new parts to production through proactive planning and cross-functional communication
  • Implementing the Engineering Change Process
  • Identifying data gaps in CMMS and taking corrective actions

Successful candidates will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in body shop/stamping/subassembly, or manufacturing assembly and machining. They will also have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, safety and MP&L experience, and constraint management principles. Additionally, they will have strong organizational and administrative skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and problem-solve.
