Production Operations Lead Technician

The marine industry supports recreation, global commerce, and national defense. Arc is on a mission to electrify it by rethinking powertrains, software, and vessel designs from first principles.

We're looking for a Production Operations Lead Technician to join our team in Torrance, CA. As a lead technician, you will provide day-to-day technical leadership for composite technicians, coordinate daily work priorities, and support safe and efficient execution to achieve area goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for composite technicians
• Mentor, train, and coach technicians to develop relevant skills
• Act as safety champion of the area, eliminating hazards and driving compliance
• Partner with Engineering to translate build requirements into clear technician workstreams
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and escalate risks to ensure delivery against production timelines
• Oversee the manufacturing of composite structures
• Ensure quality of hardware and adequate training of technicians

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience leading or mentoring technicians in a production environment
• 3+ years of experience working in a production and manufacturing environment
• Extensive hands-on experience in composites manufacturing
• Proficiency using mechanical and electric hand tools, along with test equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and product data sheets
• Physically capable of standing 6–10 hours per day and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Adaptable and able to work extended hours when production demands require

Bonus Qualifications:

• High school degree or GED certification
• Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Comfortable pushing an intense but sustainable pace
• Enthusiasm for boating, clean energy, and the water
