Senior Product Manager, Platform Core Engineering

About the Role

Platform Core Engineering (PCE) builds foundational systems, frameworks, and tooling for Twitch's engineers. As a Senior Product Manager on PCE, you will own a platform product area and focus on earning the trust of developer customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategy and roadmap for a PCE platform area, balancing short-term developer needs with a 1-2 year technical vision.
• Understand developer workflows, earn their trust, and prioritize capabilities that enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Senior Engineering Managers and Principal Engineers to define technical and organizational needs and build a cohesive platform ecosystem.
• Define and drive platform metrics that measure success.
• Foster alignment across dependent teams, resolve competing priorities, and communicate technical trade-offs.
• Lead launches end-to-end, including migration paths, documentation, and adoption.
• Partner with tooling customers to ensure the platform serves every developer persona.
• Champion hands-on use of modern AI development tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience with a strong technical foundation.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI development tools.
• Understanding of how modern AI tools work and fit together.
• Proven track record of building developer-facing or platform products.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently and navigate ambiguity.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI Developer Infrastructure, ML infrastructure, MLOps, or data and analytics tooling.
• Background in software engineering or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with AWS, builder frameworks, shared services, APIs, and platforms.
• Knowledge of streaming and Twitch's ecosystem.
• Proficiency with data-driven decision-making and defining platform adoption metrics.
