Description

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will make an active contribution to the further professionalisation of our factory, the development of our employees, and the realisation of structural savings. You will work result-oriented on improvement projects that contribute to cost reduction, efficiency, and sustainability. You will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager and be part of the Continuous Improvement team. This is a full-time role in day shift.

Your work will involve:

Promoting the CI mindset: You will identify opportunities to optimise CI within the plant, organise training sessions and meetings, and encourage employees and managers to apply CI methods.

Implementing the TPM programme (Velocity): You will translate the company-wide programme into the plant, define improvement possibilities including goals, effects, effort, and priority, and ensure a clear foundation for decision-making.

Supporting TPM projects: You will assist improvement teams in developing and implementing CI projects, apply TPM principles, offer methods and techniques, and facilitate acceptance among all stakeholders.

Standardising processes: You will concrete and document operational standards down to a detailed level (instructions, procedures, system settings) and ensure consistent alignment with departments within the organisation.

Optimising CI within the plant: You will share best practices, connect initiatives with other plants and corporate CI, and develop supporting materials such as brochures, manuals, and training materials.

Reporting and accountability: You will prepare clear reports on the progress and results of CI activities, internally and at the corporate level, and analyse deviations.

Improving process and assurance structures: You will specialise in setting up and maintaining a robust assurance structure to embed CI and TPM continuously and sustainably.

To apply for this role, you will bring:

A minimum HBO work and thinking level;

More than five years of experience in a production environment, preferably in the food industry;

Knowledge of CI methodologies, methods, and applications;

Experience with TPM in practice is an advantage;

Experience in organising, facilitating, and stimulating continuous improvement within an organisation and creating awareness among managers and employees for applying CI;

You are result-driven, proactive, honest, integrity-oriented, and a team player;

You are proactive and action-oriented, showing initiative;

You feel comfortable in an organisation where processes and ways of working are still in development, and you derive energy from bringing structure, professionalism, and improvement to the organisation.
