Security Officer

We are seeking a Security Officer to join our team at The Rock, Bury. As the public face of the Security Team, you will be responsible for providing exemplary standards of Security and Customer Service to clients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with visitors and tenants, delivering first-class customer-focused service
• Conduct regular patrols of the shopping centre, being proactive and looking for opportunities to assist visitors
• Safeguard the site, ensuring a safe and non-threatening environment for all visitors and tenants
• Manage incidents in accordance with site policies and procedures
• Liaise with the site control room, reacting to incidents and supporting colleagues
• Report any unsecure areas of the site to the Control Room and take action to resolve
• Record and log all non-conformances and emergencies
• Deal efficiently and effectively with emergencies, keeping the Centre team informed
• Monitor and surveil suspect individuals, logging and reporting incidents in line with site/company policies
• Maintain vigilance and manage unauthorised access by banned individuals
• Adhere to radio procedures and notebook policies
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required

Required Skills and Experience:

• Valid SIA Licence
• 5-year checkable background
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful demeanor
• One-team approach, taking ownership of situations and escalating when necessary

• Respect for all staff and visitors
