At Ford Motor Company, we are taking our Tool & Die Supervisors to the next level. As a Production Supervisor-Tool & Die, you will be responsible for supporting, teaching, and coaching the work team to deliver key measurables that support scorecard targets. You will also perform deep analysis of issues and continuous improvement by connecting results with the Andon, the Process, and the Inputs.
This is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression. Production Supervisors are resilient, detail-oriented, ambitious, and demonstrate high integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coaching Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
- Optimizing throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
- Supporting Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and coaching problem resolution to the lowest level
- Meeting FTT, inventory, cost, scrap, supply and tooling expense targets
- Building Team Leader and Team Member capability
- Creating a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks
- Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
- Coordination of Safety Operating System activities including overhead safety, lifting, and rigging and Energy Control and Lockout procedures
- Leading skilled trades/die maintenance personnel to evaluate Die Readiness requirements for maintaining and improving production yields, output, and up time.
You will have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years of supervisory and/or manufacturing experience, and working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. You must be able to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends.
You will also have fundamental working knowledge of major automotive die forming, ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations, two-way communication skills, and highly committed to continuous improvement.
