Description

We build many products at once with small teams of humans + AI coding agents. You run that engine , you lead the product managers, orchestrate the agent fleets, set the technical bar, and still ship code yourself.

As the Founding Director of Engineering, you will:

  • Lead the product managers / builder-leads, setting direction, unblocking, reviewing, and raising their tempo and quality
  • Orchestrate humans + AI agents, breaking product bets into work for people and for agent fleets
  • Stay hands-on, architecting and writing code, and making build-vs-buy-vs-agent calls
  • Own the portfolio's delivery, making architecture decisions and setting standards for CI, review, evals, security, and logging conventions
  • Reason commercially, figuring out why a product or funnel isn't working and fixing the real cause

Requirements:

  • You're a player-coach, leading people and shipping code
  • You're an agentic-engineering native, building with AI at the systems level
  • You get leverage through others, having led engineers and/or product managers
  • You've shipped, fast, more than once, ideally founding or leading 0→1 products
  • You see the whole board, reasoning about the business and the user
  • You're high-agency, making sensible calls and documenting assumptions

Benefits:

  • Top-of-market pay, roughly $15,000–$40,000 / month USD
  • No budget cap for tokens, best-in-class tooling, and frontier models
  • A brilliant CTO to build alongside
  • Frontier work, not maintenance
  • No politics, no process theater

Requirements
