Description
We're looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our team. As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for a direct purchasing team for the FCSD purchasing organization. Your primary focus will be on driving metric performance, ensuring team development and assessment, leading negotiations, supporting critical supply issues, and cultivating supplier relationships. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process and cost improvements, support supplier management strategies, and ensure compliance to our standards.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate department cost reductions and cost uplift mitigation
- Drive service supply improvements
- Supplier relationship management
- Ensure part sourcing timeliness
- Identify team skills gaps and develop skilled teams to manage complex direct commodities
- Collaborate with various departments, including marketing and sales organizations, supply chain, and finance to ensure process improvements align with company objectives and business needs
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process efficiency and effectiveness
- Analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for further process and cost optimization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent degree
- 6+ years of purchasing experience with a proven track record of managing complex categories and delivering optimized cost solutions
- 2+ years of management experience, managing more than 6-8 team members
- Experience with purchasing commodity wire harness, digital tech, and electrical systems
- Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and managing cross-functional projects
- Experience with purchasing tools and software, as well as compliance tools and management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent project management abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

Salary:
This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500 to $218,100. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility, and competitive market value.
