We are looking for a qualified individual with diverse backgrounds, experiences, continuous improvement values, and a strong work ethic to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Purchasing. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or Business Management, and at least 8 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will provide necessary direction, support, and identifies/develops training for team members to perform their responsibilities. They will accurately interpret direction from leadership; clearly communicate and convey technical, business or policy information appropriately across multiple levels within a unit or group of operation. The candidate will motivate team members to exceed expectations and take action to build effective working relationships between individuals from different cultures, backgrounds, viewpoints & experiences.
Key accountabilities include supporting Site Delivery Frame Unit Leaders/buyers in troubleshooting supplier and/or site-specific issues, leading the execution of Business Plan Themes/Strategies, Budget, Key Performance Indicators, and benchmarking with other HDMA Frame Sites to identify and apply cost-saving opportunities.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with demanding and critical deadlines. They will be able to travel between Sites, Business Units, and/or suppliers, and work weekends or into 2nd shift hours to support critical business needs.
