At Bayer, we're seeking a Director Medical Affairs Lead, Cardiovascular Radiotracers to serve as a key scientific and strategic leader responsible for shaping and driving the medical vision for the Bayer Radiology cardiovascular molecular imaging portfolio.
This role is accountable for shaping and executing the medical strategy across the product launch and lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on launch readiness, US medical affairs strategy, evidence generation, cross-functional coordination, and external scientific engagement.
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
- Lead strategic planning and execution of US and global Medical Affairs strategy for the cardiovascular radiotracer portfolio;
- Translate strategy into integrated medical tactics and coordinate cross-functional execution;
- Lead, author, own launch readiness medical strategy and plan according to priorities agreed within the multifunctional Product Team;
- Support and shape the US and global evidence generation strategy including IIRs, RWE, and publication activities;
- Participate in medical and promotional review committees ensuring scientific rigor and compliance;
- Ensure seamless and coordinated partnership with Field Medical leadership to achieve integration of insights into strategy development and execution;
- Establishes new and grow existing critical external relationships with US and global thought leaders and professional societies relevant to the cardiovascular molecular imaging portfolio;
- Lead medical engagement planning including advisory boards and scientific exchange;
- Active member and individual contributor in multidisciplinary Product Development Teams and Product Teams;
- Represent Medical Affairs at national and international scientific congresses and conferences;
- Manage key stakeholders including Global Medical Affairs, Commercial teams, and other internal partners;
- Ensure timely and appropriate management of the medical affairs budget and expenditure.

Required Qualifications:
- MD or PhD with industry experience required;
- Experience in Medical Affairs required, including past roles as a Medical Affairs lead individual contributor in multifunctional Product Teams;
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and scientific communication skills;
- Customer-oriented approach and ability to work in cross-functional teams;
- Proven strategic thinking skills and ability to interpret and implement strategic directions;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deal effectively with deadlines;
- Creativity, resourcefulness, high energy and flexibility;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong Business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MD is preferred;
- 3-5+ years industry experience - Experience in cardiovascular molecular imaging, cardiac and/or systemic amyloidosis or related therapeutic areas preferred;
- Experience in product launch strongly preferred;
- Knowledge of clinical studies, real-world evidence, health care economics and its impact on medical decision making desired;
- Strong VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) attributes.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $185,400 to $278,100. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
