Description
We are seeking a Process Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Ohio or Michigan. As a Process Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in bringing Ford's next generation of powertrain technology to life. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development, implementation, and optimization of engine assembly processes and tooling.
Your key responsibilities will include collaborating on the development of production tooling and facility layouts, authoring and maintaining comprehensive assembly process instructions, integrating Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize workflows, and collaborating with external partners to implement advanced automation and process control solutions.
You will also be responsible for delivering cycle line layouts and workstation designs, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of assembly tooling, leading virtual manufacturing assembly builds, orchestrating new model launches, identifying and resolving complex feasibility issues, and partnering with cross-functional teams to align program goals.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and contribute to collective problem-solving and shared project goals.
In addition to your technical skills and experience, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You will also need to have at least 2-3 years of professional experience within the Automotive Manufacturing industry, specifically focused on assembly or powertrain systems.
