Description
In this high-impact IT delivery leadership position, you will drive both the functional delivery and the technical orchestration of our core sales and service platform. As the recognised technical authority responsible for standing up Salesforce capabilities, you will ensure they are seamlessly integrated into Ford Energy's broader enterprise ecosystem.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating with Sales and Service business leaders to translate customer journeys and operational workflows into scalable Salesforce requirements.
- Serving as the primary technical lead coordinating external System Integrators, ensuring deliverables meet Ford's standards for quality, timeline, and security.
- Interpreting, administering, and executing IT policies and operational procedures for the Ford Energy Salesforce team, establishing performance standards and managing project budgets.
- Collaborating with ERP IT leads to design and implement robust integrations for critical data flows, serving as the prime advisor to senior IT leadership on integration roadmaps and capabilities.
- Defining and governing API strategies, data synchronisation rules, and integration patterns using enterprise middleware.
You will also be responsible for enforcing Salesforce best practices, prioritising out-of-the-box configuration over custom code to minimise technical debt. Proactively identifying, analysing, and mitigating fundamental technical and architectural risks across the platform.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have 6+ years of experience in IT delivery, with a strong focus on enterprise software implementations and systems integration. You should also have 3+ years of hands-on experience leading Salesforce implementations, as well as a proven track record of managing and coordinating external System Integrator teams.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to be a collaborative orchestrator and mentor, skilled at driving alignment and building architectural consensus across multiple engineering and IT teams. You should also be a systemic thinker, looking beyond individual applications to understand and optimise the entire end-to-end enterprise ecosystem.
