Description

We're looking for a Senior Buyer - Seating to join our Purchasing team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing cost, quality, and material efficiencies over the program lifetime. You'll work closely with the strategic Category Manager and Product Development to understand the latest supply base footprint, financial health ratings, technologies, and trends.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing cost, quality, and material efficiencies over program lifetime
  • Understanding and setting cost savings goals annually to identify pure commercial leverage versus design efficiencies and end-to-end supply chain improvements
  • Working with the strategic Category Manager and Product Development to understand the latest supply base footprint, financial health ratings, technologies, and trends
  • Maximizing quality integration of tier 2 components into final seat assembly
  • Analyzing market supply/demand balances and deficit risks
  • Conducting regular design reviews with engineering to identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Sourcing execution lead (RFx event, tactical sourcing, spot buy, contract admin, etc.)

You'll have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics or another related field of study, and minimum of 3+ years strategic purchasing experience. You should be strong in analytical skills, data-driven, and able to analyze multiple potential scenarios/business plans.
