Description

As a Safety Engineer at Lamb Weston, you will play a key role in strengthening our safety culture and ensuring that safety is top of mind for our employees. You will be responsible for identifying potential health and safety risks within the plant, analysing results, and advising on prioritisation for addressing identified risks. You will also be responsible for following up on machinery guidelines and providing advice, organising and conducting Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E) inspections, and developing and updating our safety policy. Additionally, you will provide training to increase awareness among employees and management, and optimise the safety community within Lamb Weston Netherlands.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying potential health and safety risks within the plant
  • Analysing results and advising on prioritisation for addressing identified risks
  • Following up on machinery guidelines and providing advice
  • Organising and conducting RI&E inspections
  • Developing and updating our safety policy
  • Providing training to increase awareness among employees and management
  • Optimising the safety community within Lamb Weston Netherlands

Requirements include:

  • HBO work and thinking level, with a minimum of an MVK qualification
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in improving and maintaining safety in a production environment
  • Strong interest in machine safety and production automation
  • Experience with RI&E registration and legislation
  • Experience in transferring knowledge and creating awareness among employees and management
  • Hands-on, analytical, advisory, connecting, critical, and entrepreneurial skills
