The Research & Advanced Engineering Vehicle Integration Supervisor will lead the development, integration, and testing of innovative advanced electrified propulsion systems and technologies for future electrified vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Lead vehicle integration team to develop, build, and test next-generation electrified light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty advanced electrified vehicles.
- Lead electrified prototype vehicle and propulsion system builds, vehicle commissioning, development testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Lead design of HV and LV electrical architecture, power distribution, and vehicle CAN/LIN network communications, voltage compatibility and load analysis, and device transmittals.
- Lead testing of new propulsion system technology and vehicles on breadboards, dynamometers, and vehicles.
- Manage vehicle test fleet, breadboard lab, vehicle service garages, APTL site 20 AWD dyno operations, and material & storage logistics.
- Lead team through the collection and analysis of vehicle data to evaluate new propulsion system technology.
- Apply problem solving tools and methods to solve problems related to vehicle build, commissioning, and testing.
- Apply systems engineering tools and methods for new technology development.
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in design and development of electrified propulsion systems, components, or vehicles.
- 1+ years of experience conducting tests of electrified vehicle components or systems in labs, breadboards, dynamometers, HIL/SIL, or on-road.
- Strong understanding of electrified vehicle architecture, systems, and components.
- Experience successfully leading large cross-functional teams with demonstrated track record of timely, high-quality delivery to program milestones.
- Experience using engineering problem-solving tools and methods to find and address root cause.
- Strong and effective leadership, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prepare and deliver concise technical project reviews to management.
