The IPTSE Business Office Analyst supports a global engineering organization by managing business planning, headcount, purchased services, material spend, ED&T, and Cycle Plan execution. The analyst will serve as a trusted business advisor to IPTSE leadership, ensuring alignment to corporate financial guidance, governance requirements, and program milestones.
The role requires strong business and engineering acumen, clear communication skills, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage IPTSE Purchased Services spend to approved targets.
- Serve as first approver / scrutineer for Ariba PS requests.
- Process lead to ensure all PS requests meet corporate screening, classification, and approval requirements.
- Function as the Ariba tool Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for IPTSE users.
- Support PS budget returns, offsets, and director-level approval requests.
- Manage material spend to approved targets across IPTSE.
- Coordinate funds transfers required to support engine builds (e.g., transfers to engine plants for base engines).
- Serve as SPOC for engine prototype scheduling and build processes.
- Manage IPTSE headcount to PDRP-approved targets.
- Lead Cycle Plan headcount analysis, evaluating resource demand versus approved capacity.
- Support LL2 / LL3 organizational planning.
- Assess lump-sum ED&T requirements across unit and program work.
- Support ED&T budget deployment, scrubs, and leadership reviews.
- Partner with Chiefs and Finance on ED&T prioritization and governance.
- Lead global engine unit and global top-hat vehicle program studies.
- Manage cost-study process changes for unit and top-hat programs.
- Support Finance and Planning for program milestone submissions.
- Lead prototype vehicle count collection to support DV requirements submitted to VEV.
- Conduct comprehensive Cycle Plan analysis, including:
- Quality
- OPD
- PVT
- TVM
- Top-hat programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting or leading Engineering Business Office functions.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering or technical program experience.
- Strong understanding of Ford engineering, financial, and sourcing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional workflows.
