Description
In this position, you will provide MP&L functional knowledge to support the plant manufacturing processes with production and non-production materials. This includes new model launch planning, change control, bill of material, parts follow-up, shop floor scheduling, inventory planning, cycle checking, distribution, logistics, material handling, packaging, and industrial material.
Your responsibilities will include providing high-level management of MP&L floor operations and Production Control (office support) department, coaching and counselling lean manufacturing behaviours and instilling discipline in MP&L processes, meeting material handling guidelines and regulations, reviewing and evaluating future plans for expansion and/or modification of the plant's MP&L equipment, resources, and/or future facilities to determine the effect on MP&L operations, ensuring proper salaried headcount and manpower is in place to support the business needs, developing department objectives, Master Schedule, Implementation Roadmaps, participating on plant's senior leadership Operating Committee, participating with Supply Chain Management, scheduling, customers, and plant when there are production critical supply issues, assuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, Environment objectives and operating systems implementation, prioritizing key issues and allocating resources accordingly, assuring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), vehicle safety, ergonomics, housekeeping, etc., practices are being planned and adhered to, representing MP&L employees in local personnel development committee and ensuring there is a developmental plan for MP&L employees, proper compensation planning, and performance reviews completed, coaching and counselling salaried employees as required, and developing action plans to improve morale within the department.
