Description
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will actively contribute to the further professionalization of our factory, the development of our employees, and the realization of structural savings.
You will work result-oriented on improvement projects that contribute to cost reduction, efficiency, and sustainability. You report to the Continuous Improvement Manager and are part of the Continuous Improvement team.
Responsibilities:
- Promote CI thinking: Identify opportunities to optimize CI within the plant, organize training and meetings, and stimulate employees and managers to apply CI methods.
- Implement TPM program (Velocity): Translate the company-wide program into the plant, define improvement opportunities including goals, effects, efforts, and priorities, and ensure a clear basis for decision-making.
- Support improvement projects with TPM: Assist improvement teams in developing and implementing CI projects, apply TPM principles, offer methods and techniques, and facilitate support among all stakeholders.
- Document standards: Concretize and document operational standards down to a detailed level (instructions, procedures, system settings) and ensure uniform alignment with disciplines within the organization.
- Optimize CI within the plant: Share best practices, connect initiatives with other plants and corporate CI, and develop supporting materials such as brochures, manuals, and training materials.
- Reporting and accountability: Prepare clear reports on progress and results of CI activities, internally and at the corporate level, and analyze deviations.
- Improve process and control structure: Specialize in setting up and maintaining a robust control structure to continuously anchor CI and TPM and sustainably secure results.
Requirements:
- At least HBO work and thinking level;
- 5+ years of experience in a production environment, preferably in the food industry;
- Knowledge of CI methods, methods, and applications;
- Practical knowledge of TPM is a prerequisite;
- Experience with organizing, facilitating, and stimulating continuous improvement within an organization and creating awareness among managers and employees to apply CI;
- Result-oriented, proactive, honest, integral, and a team player;
- Proactive and action-oriented and willing to take initiative.
