The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a trusted scientific expert and partner representing Bayer in the medical community through the dissemination of and education on scientific data related to Bayer products across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain long-term scientific relationships with key healthcare providers, stakeholders, and medical associations
  • Provide scientific expertise and support to healthcare providers, ensuring safe and effective use of Bayer products
  • Identify educational gaps and provide recommendations for educational resources, content, or initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal business partners and external contacts to address specific scientific and educational needs
  • Develop and deliver educational presentations to external audiences, stakeholders, and customers
  • Support research projects aligned with medical and brand strategy
  • Generate relevant HCP and stakeholder insights to inform tactics and strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Area General Manager, Area Business Unit team, and Field DGOS

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field
  • Experience in a scientific or healthcare clinical setting, or pharmaceutical industry experience in Medical Affairs, Sales, Marketing, or Clinical Development
  • MSL experience is required
  • Demonstrated project management ability and expertise in communicating scientific information
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and build productive work relationships
  • Valid Driver's License and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced terminal Doctorate degree in medical or health sciences (e.g., M.D., PhD, PharmD, DPH, EdD)
  • Working knowledge of FDA, OIG requirements
  • Oncology experience is preferred

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $156,000 to $234,000 per year
  • Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission
  • Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
